Paloma del Mar Riego
Paloma del Mar Riego is one of the original members of LA.IDEA and has been part of the organizing committee since 2014. She has served as Community Outreach Director, Secretary, and Co-Chair in 2018. Her passion for architecture and community outreach have led to several successful programs like the “Passport to Latin American Architecture Summer Program” in partnership with the District Architecture Center, organizing groups of volunteers to participate in DCBIA’s Community Improvement Day, and partnering with local schools to bring architecture activities to the classroom among others. Paloma is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Washington, DC after obtaining a BArch degree from Syracuse University in 2011. She currently works as a real estate consultant and construction manager at Clear Real Estate Services and is currently pursuing her architecture license.
